Travel Day

Today was a long travel day. We flew from Beijing to Shang-hi, a flight of about 2 hours (including taxiing, take-off, and landing). We arrived in Shang-hi at 2:30. After a short bus ride to our hotel, we had some time to relax.

Our hotel is beautiful. It is the Jian Gong Jin Jiang Hotel. For a “middle-income” hotel, this place treats you like kings. The rooms are nice (although small bathrooms, a small issue), the lobby is lovely and there is a lot to do around the hotel.

Tonight after dinner, we went to see an acrobatics show. It was amazing. Comical, spectacular, entertaining, and beautiful. A treat for all the senses (except smell, taste and touch)!

Forgive the brevity of this post. It’s been a long day and it’s 10:30 PM here. We’ve an early day tomorrow!

One final comment: anyone who says they don’t believe in magic hasn’t been to Shang-hi
